Children’s physiotherapy encompasses the treatment and care of infants, children, and adolescents from the time they are born until they reach the age of eighteen, or their school-leaving age.
Our physiotherapists collaborate with kids, teens, families, and other caregivers when providing care for them. Helping kids and teens realize their full physical potential is our top priority.
Common Pediatric Conditions We Manage
Children who have trouble moving may have a short-term problem or a long-term ailment or disability. We handle a variety of pediatric conditions, including:
* birth defects, such as positional talipes (an incorrect posture of the feet)
* acute injuries to soft tissues, such as sprained muscles and ligaments
* recovery from orthopaedic surgery, such as a broken bone or a leg lengthening operation
* disorders that hinder a child’s subsequent physical growth, such as cerebral palsy or Down syndrome, Chiari malformation, and the inability of a child to reach their motor milestones, such as crawling, sitting, standing, walking, and balance.
To meet the unique requirements of each child, our physiotherapists draw from a toolbox of techniques. Orthotics, walking assistance, exercise programs, and posture management are all examples of specialized approaches that may be necessary. Our physiotherapists collaborate with the parents to help them cope with their child’s condition by providing them with information and resources.
Feel free to share your concerns and those of your child with our physiotherapists. Together, we can determine how helpful physiotherapy can be in addressing any issues your child may have.
