About Our CEO
Dr. Philans Cosmos Ankrah, PT DPT MPT COMT CDNI LLM MedLaw (Edin)
Dr. Philans Cosmos Ankrah is an internationally licensed physiotherapist and healthcare executive with extensive expertise in neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal, and sports physiotherapy. He is the Founder and CEO of Philanx Health & Rehab in the Cayman Islands and Philanx Pain & Neurorehab in Dubai.
He holds professional licenses in the Cayman Islands, the United Kingdom, and Dubai, and has practiced across hospital, community, and private clinical settings in Ghana, the UAE, and internationally. Dr. Philans has served in elite sports rehabilitation roles, including as the first physiotherapist for the Rugby League Federation Ghana and as head of medical teams at international competitions.
His academic qualifications include a BSc in Physiotherapy (University of Ghana), a Master’s-level specialization in Neurorehabilitation (Australia), a Doctor of Physical Therapy (USA), and a Master of Laws in Medical Law & Ethics (University of Edinburgh). He is a recognized global contributor to physiotherapy education and was a finalist for the 2025 Caribbean Global Awards for Excellence in Well-Being Management.
